The Relatives is a Charlotte non-profit organization, driven by a belief that every child deserves a safe place to sleep and a fighting chance to make it. They hired Strata Project Management Group to manage the renovation and relocation of On Ramp, their drop-in resource center for young adults (age 16-24) who need help making a successful evolution from youth to independent adulthood.

On Ramp is relocating from uptown Charlotte to a new location within the city, where they’ll be able to expand the resource center and better impact the community. The new location offers over 15,000 sqft for education, training, office and activity space, while maintaining great access to public transportation. Unique aspects of the project include adaptive reuse of the 1950s shell construction, a teaching kitchen, and turf outdoor activity spaces. Our team facilitated the collection and donation of FF&E as a cost management strategy, utilizing WGM for architecture and Harker for general contractor services.
